About Me

Jeanne Fischer, MSW, LICSW

There is a great old phrase, it says “There are two great days in our life; the day we are born, and the day we discover why!”.

My journey has been long and winding.  It has included: mortgage banking, advertising in LA, bookkeeping, managing a coffee/yogurt shop, and even selling shoes (absolutely loved that one).

The journey took a meaningful turn in 1994 when I received a blessing disguised as a job layoff.  That layoff propelled me to complete my undergraduate degree, then go on to complete my Masters’ degree in Clinical Social Work.

With that education, two more jobs (Minneapolis Crisis Nursery and St. Anne’s Shelter), and a couple great internships, I was ready to begin my career as an LICSW/Therapist.

It didn’t take long to realize I had found my purpose, discovered one of the reasons I was here on this planet.

Now over 19 years later . . .

I have gained experience working with a culturally diverse group of adults, couples, children, adolescents, and families. My area of expertise is actively working with clients to uncover, gain understanding of, and effectively overcome the obstacles in their lives.
